The" Lac de Jouarres", 8 kms , surrounded by vineyards with many water activities, a safe beach with lifeguard surveillance and a restaurant.

The Canal du Midi, 2kms, which you can explore on foot or bike ( which can be hired) by taking the shady bordered by 300 year old trees, or a boat cruise.
They are many restaurants along the Canal.





The Montagne Noire and the Montagne d'Alaric, which can be seen from the house.
These two territories offer many excursions, including the Cathare trail and the GR 36 through the black Mountain (Montagne Noire) to the Cathar castles. You can start your journey at Castelnau d'Aude.

You can discover the Audois wines and vineyards, as well as the secrets of the vignification, byvisiting the city of the vine at Gruissan and the many cellars of the vine growers.

 There are many events and markets in the villages, not forgetting the festivals, particularly at Carcassonne with its famous firework display on july 14th and the festival Convivencia which isheld on board a barge along Canal du Midi.
